Tanning Tips
Before Appointment Care:
-
Get your manicure and/or pedicure prior to tanning.
-
Be sure to have well-hydrated skin by moisturizing daily the week leading up to your appointment. Dehydrated skin could cause an uneven tan and quicker fading.
-
Exfoliate and Shave at least 12-24 before your appointment.
-
Waxing services should be done at least 48 hours prior to your spray tan.
-
Do not wear lotion, makeup or deodorant the day of your spray tan.
-
You may tan however you are comfortable, nude (except for males) underwear or swimsuit.
-
Wipes are available upon request to remove makeup.
After Appointment Care:
-
Bring dark, loose fitting clothing to change into. Long, loose pants, long sleeve t-shirt, and flip flops are preferred for protection of your gorgeous tan.
-
Please limit the need to put on a bra or tight fitting clothing until your tan is fully processed.
-
Limit physical activity that may cause you to sweat until you are fully processed and able to shower.
-
Use a paraben and sulfate free body wash. (I personally like Native brand body wash). Do not exfoliate or use bar soaps until you are ready to remove your tan.
-
Soaking in water (bathing-swimming) may cause your tan to fade faster or uneven.
-
Moisturize with a paraben/sulfate and alcohol-free lotion at least twice a day. (I like Hempz lotion).
-
Exfoliate your tan completely before your next tanning appointment.
